Desert Daze Instructors from Left to Right: Sky , Jessica, Talyssa, Linsey, Tarin, and Joy

  • Northern Arizona native but have lived in Carlsbad for 6 years with my husband. I grew up as a dancer doing ballet from the age of 3. Yoga became a part of my life after I was no longer able to dance due to a car accident and needed an outlet to express myself. Movement has always been a healing experience for me to help center myself through anxiety and depression. I hope to bring a positive & loving energy to desert daze and its community.

  • I’m a proud Carlsbad local. I’ve lived many versions of myself. I’m a daughter, sister, friend, mother and wife. I’ve practiced Yoga for about 10 years but I’m new to teaching. I’ve always lived an active lifestyle but wasn’t introduced to Yoga until high school. Yoga quickly became the highlight of my day. It brought me not only physical, but mental benefits as well and that is one of the main reasons I have continued to practice. It has grown with me throughout my life and has always shown me grace. Through teenage years, young adulthood, two pregnancies, and now. This is a dream of mine turned into reality and I hope to benefit the community I love with my teaching. I’ll see you on the mat.

  • My journey to yoga and Zumba started as a child watching my mother. She guided and showed me the practice of yoga and taught me the love of dance. These lessons and memories are something I will cherish for many lifetimes.

Growing up and as an adult I've suffered from PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Yoga is something that has provided relief and a sense of calmness within the storms. It has helped me, and I wanted to share it with others in hopes that it will help them too.

I once heard a quote, "You cannot change the world if you do not start at home". This has stuck with me. I'm well aware that I cannot change the world, but I started Desert Daze with the hopes of changing the world for a few of you. I wanted to create a space that people could come to when times are tough and leave feeling lighter. I don't believe we are meant to go through the struggles of life alone, so this community we create as a whole is something that I hope benefits us all.

I look forward to seeing you in class.

  • I am a passionate and caring person who is always looking for new experiences. Spin being one of them that I found and instantly loved. For quite awhile I struggled with finding a purpose. I always wanted to find something both mentally and physically beneficial for me. Spin was the perfect fit for that. Very quickly it became my passion. Not only does it benefit myself, but now I get to help others achieve the same thing. It is my hope that our clients come to my class for not only a good workout but for words of encouragement, fun, and a scapegoat of the hardships that life brings us sometimes.

  • My name is Tarin and I'm from Carlsbad, New Mexico. With a deep love for fitness and a commitment to helping others achieve their health goals, I love to bring a unique blend of high-energy workouts and motivational coaching to every class. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a beginner, my classes are designed to challenge and inspire, ensuring you leave each session feeling stronger and more empowered.

  • Hi! I am Joy. To me, yoga is a lifestyle practice that strengthens the body and mind from the inside out. Yoga helps us to understand the complex connections between our physical bodies, the thoughts we experience, and the essence of who we truly are

While getting my Bachelor’s Degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, I completed 150 hours of training in Yoga Psychology through Yoga Vidya Gurukul Ashram. I’ve also completed 100 hours of meditation teacher training at Yogamu USA.

My next adventures include undergoing transcendental meditation training, and getting my Master’s degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine.

I hope to see you on the mat, where together we can make a great difference in the world by eliminating personal pain and suffering. Namaste.
